# OpenAirInterface Latest Releases #
The current state of the RAN (`develop` and `master` branches) and the EPC is available at

# OpenAirInterface Roadmap / Work in progress #
The main phases are as follows:
- Phase 1: "noS1" 5G-NR (with pre-configured gNB and OAI UE, no core network)
- Phase 2: E-UTRA - NR dual connectivity (NSA architecture option 3x, with 4G CN) with COTS UE, **ETA Q2-2020**
- Phase 3: StandAlone (with 5G CN) with COTS UE, **ETA Q4-2020**
As intermediate steps to reach these goals, we can mention:
- Full DL Transmission (ETA June 2020)
- Complete validation of DL-HARQ procedures
- Integration with higher layers to inject real traffic
- Full UL Transmission (ETA July 2020)
- Further Improvements (ETA Q3-2020)
- gNB: replace dummy scheduler with advanced scheduler
- support for multiple users, beamforming
- PHY: PTRS, multiple DMRS for PDSCH and PUSCH
- UE: Completion of random access procedure
- Support for Beamforming (mainly FR2)
- Multiple SSBs and RACH occasions
- RRC config and MAC scheduling of CSI-RS
- UE measurements of CSI-RS and feedback reporting
- RRC config and MAC handling of TCI states
- Support for MIMO
- for SA Mode (ETA Q4-2020)
