OAI Bug – UL BLER Performance for QPSK modulation (MCS0…9)
- Unexpected UL BLER Performance measured for QPSK modulation
- System Configuration:
- PHY Test mode
- UL slot = 8 of every radio frame
- RF-SIM with AWGN channel between OAI gNB and Soft-UE
- SNR sweeping
- AWGN on UL only
Goal: Characterize the ul block error rate (bler) performance of the OAI gNB RX Oberservation:
- UL BLER curves are all overlaying in the same snr value range?
Expectation:
- Similar behaviour as seen for 16QAM (MCS >= 10)
- Different MCS settings are located on different SNR ranges
- Lower mcs are located on lower snr value ranges
- as seen in simulation results

- In the simulator.c: we made the rfsim_noise_power_dB configurable via E2 agent
